Keeping the Anglo-Indian spirit alive in Melbourne

Music, dancing, good food and old friends. We're a community club bringing Anglo-Indian families and friends together for affordable events everyone can enjoy.

Our heritage

Who are the Anglo-Indians?

Anglo-Indians are a community born in India, with family lines that trace back to both European and Indian ancestors. Over generations we built a culture all our own: English-speaking, deeply musical, and famous for our dances, our food and our warm hospitality.

The community is recognised in India's Constitution. After Indian independence in 1947, many families made new homes overseas, carrying their traditions with them. Today Anglo-Indians live all around the world, and the International Reunion brings that global family back together.

The Anglo-Indian Social Club Inc. is a not-for-profit community club, incorporated in Melbourne in July 2026.

We're open to Anglo-Indians, their families and anyone who loves the community. Whether you grew up with the music and the food or you're discovering them for the first time, you'll be made welcome.

We're very proud to have been awarded the next International Reunion

The 14th International Anglo-Indian Reunion is coming to Melbourne in March 2028, organised by the Anglo-Indian Social Club in conjunction with the International Federation of Anglo-Indian Associations.

Anglo-Indians from around the world will gather for a gala dinner, youth events, a symposium and much more. Melbourne last welcomed the World Reunion in 2004, and we can't wait to do it again.

Plans are at an early stage. Details will be shared here as they are confirmed.
